Amanda Martinez — Hospital Manager
Amanda moved from Oakland, California to Waco over two years ago with her boyfriend. They have two Pitbull’s named Klarky and Nala, who are full of personality. In her free time, she enjoys hanging by the pool or relaxing under her oak tree, and spending time with her daughter, Olive.
She is also a big time Oakland Raiders fan, even when their record is horrible! Football season and fall is her favorite time of the year!
Debbie Bigham – Lead Client Care Specialist
Debbie has been with Northside Animal Hospital since 1985. She earned her Associates degree from MCC. In May 1987, she married her husband, Robert, but they have known each other since they were eight years old. Together, they have two children, Breanne and Bo.
Outside of work, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family, especially with her four grandsons T.J., Zander, Hayden, and Andrew. As a breast cancer survivor, she enjoys participating in annual cancer walks.
She and her husband currently share their house with three dogs, and she often says, “It’s their house, they just let us live there.”
Breanne Melendez – Client Care Specialist
Breanne started working for Northside Animal Hospital when she was 15 years old. She graduated in 2011 from MCC with an Associate's Degree in Arts.
Breanne enjoys spending time with her husband Thomas and their 4 boys, T.J., Zander, Hayden and the newest addition Andrew.
Debbie Gerstenkorn – Veterinary Technician
Debbie moved from Kansas City to Waco in 2010 with her husband Jamie and daughter Emily who attends OSU majoring in Animal Science-Communications.
After 25 years of administrative work, Debbie decided to go after her passion to become a Vet Tech and has never looked back. Debbie was accepted to the Veterinary Technician Program at MCC and graduated with her A.A.S Degree in Veterinary Technology in 2019. “I absolutely LOVE caring for animals, helping doctors and being a part of an excellent team!”
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, two dogs Jayden and Rocko, shopping for a Camaro, decorating and being outside doing whatever.
Pam Davidson, LVT – Licensed Veterinary Technician & Client Care Specialist
Pam graduated from Columbia State Community College in Columbia, Tennessee with a degree in veterinary technology in 1975. She and her husband moved to Waco in 1978, and shortly after in 1981 Pam started working for Dr. Jerry Stewart at Northside Animal Hospital.
Allison Neill – Veterinary Technician
Allison inherited her mother’s love of animals and her father’s athletic ability and quick wit, which have brought her to where she is today. After high school, she attended community college and received her A.A.S degree in Veterinary Technology. She felt an immediate connection to Northside Animal Hospital when she interviewed here. She felt the size and the people that work here where a great fit for her. Seven years later, she still feels the same way.
Allison contributes her longevity at the practice to her faithful clients with memorable dogs and cats, and the family-like atmosphere. When she is not at the hospital she spends her down time with her son and daughter, and her dog and two cats. Allison also enjoys kayaking, fishing and exploring new swimming holes.
Ashley Shepherd – Veterinary Technician
Ashley is from the small logging community of Vernonia, Oregon. She and her husband Andrew moved to the Waco area in the beginning of May in 2016. They have five dogs, two cats, two horses and two goats. She began working at Northside Animal Hospital at the end of May in 2016, and we are so happy to have her as a part of the team.
Tamara McCrary – Veterinary Technician
Tammy was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and moved to Waco at a young age. She has always had a love and interest for animals just like her mom. She has been with Northside Animal Hospital for 23 years and continues her love and care for clients and their pets.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her three children and pet Ball Python snake, Sly.
Carol Culverhouse – Kennel Attendant & Veterinary Technician
Carol has been married for 40 years to her husband Barry Sr., who is always a help with her foster and adoption pets. Carol and her husband have two children, Barry Jr. and Kathy Lee. She is also keeping busy with her three grandsons and five granddaughters.
Carol has worked in the animal field for many years. Her past experience includes working at the Waco Humane Society, the Animal Hospital of Waco, and LaVega Veterinarian Clinic. She has been with Northside Animal Hospital for two years and hopes to make this her last stop before retirement.
Angela Cave - Veterinary Technician
Angela has been working as a Vet Tech for the past 13 years and is very passionate about what she does. She has 7 dogs, 1 cat and recently her first grandbaby. In her spare time she loves to camp, fish and spoil her grandson.
Casey Haddock — Veterinary Technician
Casey was born and raised here in Waco. She has worked as a Vet Tech since 2015, and animals are her world!
At home, Casey lives with her wonderful husband Robert and three beautiful children. They have two dogs and one rabbit. Her oldest daughter also has a lamb that they care for together. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym and staying active.
