Hospital Manager Kristin SteeleKristin moved to Waco, Texas in January 2017 and then joined the Northside Animal Hospital team in October 2017. She was raised in Middletown, New York, but her last residence was in Syracuse. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Alfred University in New York. Previously, she worked at Busch Gardens Williamsburg as an animal trainer and performer, followed by working in Syracuse at a large veterinarian hospital for the past eight years.

Kristin and her husband Dan have always loved animals and currently own cats, sugar gliders and fish. They both enjoy fostering through the humane society in Waco. When Kristin is not working, she likes cooking, traveling, soccer and craft beer.

debbie-bighamDebbie has been with Northside Animal Hospital since 1985. She earned her Associates degree from MCC. Her husband, Robert, and her have been married since May 1987, but have known each other since they were eight years old. They have two children together – Breanne and Bo.

Debbie enjoys spending her time out of work with her family, especially with her grandson’s T.J. and Zander. She enjoys participating in annual cancer walks due to her own battle with breast cancer. Debbie is now a four year survivor! She and her husband currently share their house with three dogs and often says “It’s their house, they just let us live there.”

ccs-breanne-melendezBreanne started working for Northside Animal Hospital when she was 15 years old. She graduated in 2011 from MCC with an Associate's Degree in Arts.

Breanne enjoys spending time with her husband Thomas and their 2 boys, T.J. and Zander, with a third baby on the way.

vet-tech-leann-sheppardSince LeAnne was little, she always had a special place in her heart for four-legged animals. She decided to pursue her love for animals in college in the Veterinary Technician program. She currently is keeping busy with her seven dogs and two cats. She joined the Northside Animal team in 2014.

 

pam-davisPam graduated from Columbia State Community College in Columbia, Tennessee with a degree in veterinary technology in 1975. She and her husband moved to Waco in 1978, and shortly after in 1981 Pam started working for Dr. Jerry Stewart at Northside Animal Hospital.

 

vet-tech-allison-neillAllison inherited her mother’s love of animals and her father’s athletic ability and quick wit, which have brought her to where she is today. After high school, she attended community college and received her A.A.S degree in Veterinary Technology. She felt an immediate connection to Northside Animal Hospital when she interviewed here. She felt the size and the people that work here where a great fit for her. Seven years later, she still feels the same way.

Allison contributes her longevity at the practice to her faithful clients with memorable dogs and cats, and the family-like atmosphere. When she is not at the hospital she spends her down time with her son, her dog and two cats. Allison also enjoys kayaking, fishing and exploring new swimming holes.

vet-tech-ashley-shepherd-dogAshley is from the small logging community of Vernonia, Oregon. She and her husband Andrew moved to the Waco area in the beginning of May in 2016. They have five dogs, two cats, two horses and two goats. She began working at Northside Animal Hospital at the end of May in 2016, and we are so happy to have her as a part of the team.

carol-culverhouseCarol has been married for 40 years to her husband Barry Sr., who is always a help with her foster and adoption pets. Carol and her husband have two children, Barry Jr. and Kathy Lee. She is also keeping busy with her three grandsons and five granddaughters.

Carol has worked in the animal field for many years. Her past experience includes working at the Waco Humane Society, the Animal Hospital of Waco, and LaVega Veterinarian Clinic. She has been with Northside Animal Hospital for two years and hopes to make this her last stop before retirement.
