Bruce Cox, DVM — Chief of Staff
Dr. Bruce Cox, Chief of Staff, has been practicing at Northside Animal Hospital since May 2003. He grew up in Waxahachie, Texas and currently lives in Robinson. He received both his undergraduate and DVM degrees from Texas A&M University in 1982 and 1985, respectively.
Previously, Dr. Cox practiced in Tyler at a mixed-animal practice for four years before purchasing Appleby Sand Road Animal Clinic in Nacogdoches. He practiced small animal medicine from 1989-2002 until he sold the practice to move back to Central Texas.
Dr. Cox has a special interest in internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. He has three mutts at home — Rosy, Sneeky and Coco. When not helping animals, Dr. Cox is serving the community, having been the pastor of a rural church for the past nine years. He enjoys reading short stories and loves spending time with his wife, Suzy, and their three daughters and son-in-law.
Doyle Cooper, DVM
Dr. Doyle Cooper grew up in Glen Rose, Texas and now resides in China Spring. He earned both undergraduate and DVM degrees from Texas A&M University in 1963 and 1964, respectively.
Dr. Cooper has owned and operated veterinary practices in Garland, Brownwood, San Antonio, and Waco, TX. He has also been a solo practitioner. He has stayed at Northside Animal Hospital since 2012, because he truly enjoys the team and the collaborative environment.
In his spare time, Dr. Cooper enjoys traveling with his wife.
Olivia Miller, DVM
Dr. Olivia Miller joined the Northside Animal Hospital team in June 2015. She grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina and currently lives in Temple, Texas. Dr. Miller received an undergraduate degree from Clemson University in 2011 and a DVM degree from Auburn University in 2015.
Previously, Dr. Miller was a veterinary technician at Inman Animal Hospital in South Carolina. She also worked at Auburn University's Animal Critical Care Unit while in school. Her special interests include dermatology, preventive care and orthopedics.
In her spare time, Dr. Miller enjoys reading, riding horses, cooking, baking, and traveling with her husband Jarrod, who is a member of the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps. She also enjoys spending time with her three small dogs — Carlos, Jacob and Wash.
